How to Invite Team Members

Learn how to invite colleagues to your WorkClaw team using single-use links, multi-use links, and domain-based invitations.

How do I invite someone to my team?

Navigate to Settings > Team > Invitations and choose one of three invite methods. Each method suits a different scenario, from adding a single colleague to onboarding an entire department.

What is a single-use invite?

A single-use invite is an email-based invitation sent to one person. Enter their email address, choose their role, and click Send Invite. The recipient gets an email with a unique link that expires after 7 days and can only be used once. This is the most secure option because you know exactly who will join.

A multi-use invite link is a shareable URL that any number of people can use to join your team. Generate one from the Invitations panel by clicking Create Link. You can set an optional expiration date and a maximum number of uses. Everyone who joins through a multi-use link receives the default Member role — an Admin or Owner can promote them later.

Multi-use links are convenient for onboarding a group quickly. Share the link in a Slack channel, email thread, or internal wiki. If you suspect a link has been shared outside your organization, revoke it immediately from the Invitations panel and generate a new one.

What is a domain invite?

Domain invites allow anyone with a verified email address on a specific domain (e.g., @yourcompany.com) to join your team automatically. Enable this under Settings > Team > Domain Allowlist. When a new user signs up with a matching email, they are added to your team as a Member without needing a link.

Domain invites are ideal for larger organizations where you want frictionless onboarding. You can list multiple domains if your company uses more than one email domain.

How do I manage pending invitations?

The Invitations panel shows all outstanding invites — single-use, multi-use, and domain rules. From here you can:

  • Resend a single-use invite if the recipient didn't receive it
  • Revoke any invite link to prevent further use
  • Edit expiration or usage limits on multi-use links
  • Remove a domain from the allowlist

What role do new members receive?

Single-use invites let you choose the role at send time. Multi-use links and domain invites always assign the Member role. An Owner or Admin can change roles after the person joins via Roles & Permissions.
