What are Skill Packs?

Understand Skill Packs — bundled collections of related skills that install together for streamlined setup and consistent workflows.

What is a Skill Pack?

A Skill Pack is a curated bundle of related skills that install together as a single unit. Instead of finding and installing each skill individually, you pick a pack and get everything configured at once — including shared connections and requirements.

For example, the Google Workspace Pack includes Gmail, Calendar Sync, and Google Drive skills. Installing the pack sets up all three and walks you through the Google OAuth connection once rather than three times.

How do system packs differ from team packs?

WorkClaw offers two kinds of packs:

  • System packs are assembled and maintained by the WorkClaw team. They group popular third-party and system skills into common workflow bundles. Examples include the Google Workspace Pack, the Project Management Pack (Linear + Notion + Slack), and the Research Pack. System packs are available to all users.
  • Team packs are created by your organization. They bundle team skills (and optionally third-party skills) into role-specific sets. For instance, you might create an "Onboarding Pack" that installs your company's HR lookup skill, org-chart skill, and IT request skill together. Team packs are visible only to your team.

How do I install a Skill Pack?

  1. Navigate to Settings > Skills > Marketplace and switch to the Packs tab.
  2. Browse or search for a pack. Each listing shows the included skills, total connection requirements, and compatibility notes.
  3. Click Install Pack and select the Claw(s) that should receive the bundle.
  4. WorkClaw checks requirements for all included skills. If connections are missing, you are prompted to set them up. Shared connections (like a single Google OAuth grant) are handled once.
  5. Click Confirm. All skills in the pack are installed together.

You can also install packs from the CLI using the pack's identifier.

How do I uninstall a Skill Pack?

Go to Settings > Skills > Installed, find the pack, and select Uninstall Pack from the overflow menu. This removes every skill in the bundle from the selected Claw. If you want to keep some skills and remove others, uninstall individual skills instead of the whole pack.

Can I create a team pack?

Yes. Navigate to Settings > Skills > Packs and click Create Pack. Give it a name, description, and add skills from your team's library or the marketplace. Set visibility to Team so your colleagues can find it. Team packs follow the same requirements validation as individual skills — WorkClaw merges all requirements and checks them at install time.
