Billing Overview
How WorkClaw billing works — credits, monthly or annual subscriptions, one-time top-ups, and how usage maps to cost.
How does WorkClaw billing work?
WorkClaw is pay-as-you-go using credits. Credits cover both keeping a Claw running (its cloud computer) and the AI work it does. You buy credits via a monthly or annual credit subscription that grants a fixed amount each billing period, plus optional one-time top-ups when you need more between renewals. There is no per-seat fee — invite as many people as you want.
See the pricing page for the current credit subscription tiers and prices.
What is a credit?
A credit is the unit of usage. Roughly $1 = 1,000 credits at the entry tier, and the per-credit cost decreases as you scale up. Your dashboard shows credits used in real time.
What plans are available?
WorkClaw has two plans:
- Team — self-serve. Pick a credit subscription tier from the pricing page. Pause, upgrade, or cancel at any time from Settings > Billing.
- Business — managed contract with volume pricing, BYOK (bring your own LLM key), dedicated infrastructure, SSO, and priority support. Contact sales.
How do billing periods work?
Each subscription is either monthly or annual. Annual is roughly 20% off the equivalent monthly price. Switch between intervals by starting a new subscription at the desired tier and canceling the old one — both transitions take effect at the next renewal.
What payment methods are accepted?
Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). All payments go through Stripe — WorkClaw never stores card details directly. Business contracts can be invoiced.
What happens if I run out of credits?
Your Claws pause automatically. There is no overdraft and no surprise charge. Add a one-time top-up or upgrade your subscription tier and they resume from where they left off, with all their context intact.
Where do I find my invoices?
Settings > Billing > Payment & invoices opens the Stripe portal where every invoice is listed with its date, amount, and status. PDFs are downloadable from there.
Do credits roll over?
Subscription credits reset at each renewal on the Team plan. Run out before the next renewal? Add a top-up or upgrade your tier. Business plans can negotiate rollover terms.
